Before joining GenSearch in 2017, Heiko held the position of Managing Director in Switzerland for a German-based Life Science Boutique firm. In successfully establishing the Swiss branch, he provided advisory services to life science companies for the appointment of senior executives across Europe, with a particular focus on Switzerland, France, Benelux, Germany, and Spain.

Heiko Bruhn is a qualified Attorney at Law, having graduated from the University of Freiburg/Breisgau with a specialization in Labour and Social Security Law. His professional journey commenced as a Human Resources Manager at Roche in Grenzach, Germany, in 1992. By 1994, he had relocated to Basel, Switzerland, assuming various roles within the group’s international human resources department. Heiko’s extensive experience supporting international fields, including commercial, clinical development, and medical affairs, has enabled him to establish strong contacts within the pharmaceutical and biotech sectors. In his final position at Roche, he served as Deputy Head of Human Resources Switzerland. Heiko is also a qualified systemic coach.

As a native German speaker, Heiko is fluent in both German and English.
