Joshi Venugopal spoke about the transformative potential of gene therapies in reshaping healthcare—moving us closer to prevention and cure through advances such as newborn screening and one-time treatments. He also addressed the reality of high upfront costs, contrasting the long-term value these therapies offer with the challenges of achieving commercial sustainability.

Gunther Busam offered a fresh perspective on how cell and gene therapies should be seen as services, not just products. He highlighted the operational shifts required across the supply chain and distribution models, and the importance of learning from past experiences to reduce costs and improve patient access.
